This spectacular cave was discovered by cavers almost twenty years ago and was kept secret for over 15 years while arrangements were made with the state to acquire and protect it. It became a state park in 1988 but extraordinary measures were being taken to protect the natural environment of this "living" cave before it opened to the public, in 1994 or 1995.

Some of the most phenomenal cave formations ever found exist here. There is a soda straw formation ¼ inch in diameter and 20 feet long.
